Answer: Two full days are the minimum required to explore Jaisalmer, which includes Jaisalmer city attractions and Jaisalmer desert activities. For a 2 days Jaisalmer trip, you should arrive in Jaisalmer on day 1 morning, somewhere between 6 am to 9 am, and plan your departure on day 2 after 8 pm to 10 pm.

With this schedule, you will first explore the Jaisalmer Fort attractions on day 1 from morning until lunchtime, then enjoy Jaisalmer desert activities from afternoon until night. On day 2, you can visit the remaining attractions in Jaisalmer city and the desert before leaving Jaisalmer at night.

Even during these months, the period from the first week of Diwali until the first week of January is considered the peak tourist season. You can still visit Jaisalmer during the summer months, but you will have limited desert camp options. However, jeep safari and camel safari are available throughout the year.

Answer: To book our 2 days Jaisalmer tour package, we require a 50% advance payment for transportation and a 50% to 75% advance payment for hotel and desert camp bookings. The taxi booking amount is refundable if the trip is cancelled at least 14 days before the tour date.

Hotel and desert camp cancellations and refunds are subject to the respective hotel’s or desert camp’s cancellation policy.

Question 6: Is Jaisalmer cold in winter?

Answer: Yes. Jaisalmer is quite cold during winter, as the night temperature can reach around 0°C, especially in the desert. We recommend carrying warm clothes, especially if you are planning your trip during October, November, December, or January.
